Today we went to the Jewish Museum to see exhibition " Six Things: Sagmeister and Walsh, in which they communicate six things that can increase the personal happiness of each person.
This six things are:
1. If I don't ask I wont get
2. Keeping a diary supports personal development
3. Be more flexible
4. It's pretty much impossible to please everyone
5. Now is better
6. Feel others feel
I really like all of them and I think that they use an excellent and different way of showing the people what they are trying to say.
Now, I'm going to talk about the "thing" i like the most: BE MORE FLEXIBLE.
In this piece, they make use of water and bubbles to show the people to be flexible. The idea and the materials used for it are strongly attached because they have a changing space and are placed in an undefined background.
The bubbles and the water change constantly and don't get stuck on the same place or position. In this way, the materials reflect how people should act and start to be more flexible.
On the other hand, I think that the font choice was ideal for the message because it was like handwriting, making the message more soft and relaxed, letting on the outside the "strict" that they want us to set free.
Some pictures of the exhibition....
