Bellecour Macaron - Final Project

As I showed in my past blog posts my final project was a brand of Macarons. When I graduated from school 3 years ago I went to live in France for a year, that is when I fell in love with all the things that that amazing country has, one of them are the macarons.

My idea with this project was to create a brand that projected a very glamorous, delicate and sophisticated image.

At the begginig it was very hard to came up with a name and a logo for it. I finally chose one of my favorite squares in france as an inspiration for my name: Place Bellecour. Here are some of the logos I did before the final one:

And at the end I stick to this one:

When I already had the logo, I just didn't want to stop working because, the first package that i designed was the box, I printed and created like thousands of them, making little changes in form and color:

After this, I chose the definite color for my brand, so then I created everyhting based on this, here are the final digital designs:

After all this fun process I finally got to see my designs printed and in real life and it was very exciting because they look just like I imagined them in my head:

Mood Board

In the MET, I saw lots of paintings that I liked for my product inspiration. But I finally stick to the impressionism art. I love the colors used in every painting and I think that it is very related to the history of my product. This are some of the paintings that I liked as inspiration for my product:

I chose two paintings finally and made this palets of colors:

I like this 2 paintings because they make me think about the idea that the french macarons sell: Luxury, elegance, delicate, chic, royalty, Paris, France.

The first painting I chose it mostly because of the colors, they are very bright and beautiful. The painting is called The Cathedrals of Arts and is made by the American Florine Stettheimer. She created a piece of the New York art world in 1942.

The second painting represents  the french culture. It's made by Monet and it is called Garden at Sainte-Adresse. Monet painted it in the summer of 1867.
